Samuel Mathenge Mwangi Sunrise 1947 - Sunset 26th August 2025 It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Samuel Mathenge Mwangi. Beloved husband of Grace Wambui Mathenge, son of the late Wilson Mwangi Kamundia and the late Miriam Muthoni Mwangi. Cherished Son in-law of the late Mr. Reuben and Mrs. Miriam Chomba of Ihururu. Father of Mwangi Mathenge & Mary Mwololo, Chomba Mathenge, Cyrus Kamundia & Mumbi Mbiyu. Grandfather of Leo Mathenge, Ethan Mwangi, Mathenge Kamundia & Mbiyu Kamundia. Brother of the late Dr.Cyrus Kamundia, the late Winnie Wairimu Karige and the late John Karige Wamatu, Wamboi Phyllis Mwangi, Ndonga Mwangi Kamundia and Jane Mumbi Gakuo, the late Jorum Wambugu. Brother in-law of Dr. Waihenya Chomba, Mary Chuma, Wachira Chomba, Anne Wangai, Geoffrey Chomba, John Chomba, the late Mwangi Chomba and Mumbi Murigu. Beloved uncle, cousin and friend of many. Prayer and funeral planning meetings will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Monday 1st September and Tuesday 2nd September from 5.00-8.00pm. The cortege leaves KU Referral hospital Mortuary on Thursday 4th September at 7.00am for the funeral service and interment at his home in Gathuthi, Tetu - Nyeri County. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ~ “In all things give thanks.”
